How and Why We Raise Funds for the Barge

£180,000 raised so far - £160,000 to go

Raising funds for Barge No. 9 is essential to bringing our vision to life and revitalising our community. The financial support we seek is not just about restoring a historic vessel; it’s about creating a vibrant space where people can gather, learn, and thrive. We employ various fundraising strategies, including community donations, corporate sponsorships, grants, and fundraising events, to secure the necessary resources.

Additionally, supporting local businesses like Will's Home Maintenance and "Man & a Van" service is a great way to contribute, as the profits generated go directly toward the barge project. Each contribution plays a crucial role in ensuring that the barge becomes a self-sustaining venue that supports not only its operations but also vital community programs like our Community Well-being at Anchor Point House. Together, we can build a legacy that honours our history while making a positive impact for generations to come.
