- Treasurer/Finance
- Community Engagement
- Strategy and Planning
- Volunteering
Directors of a CIC
As a Community Interest Company (CIC), the roles of our directors are akin to that of trustees in a charitable organisation. A CIC is a special type of company designed to benefit the community, where profits are reinvested back into social projects rather than distributed to shareholders.
This structure allows us to focus on creating positive change within our community while maintaining a commitment to transparency and accountability. As a director, you will play a vital role in guiding our mission, overseeing the organisation’s operations, and ensuring that we fulfill our commitment to serving the community effectively.
Your expertise and leadership will help us drive initiatives that make a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.
Role Requirements
As a board member, you will be expected to:
- Attend regular board meetings and contribute actively to discussions.
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for the organisation.
- Help identify funding opportunities and partnerships.
- Advocate for the mission and values of Barge No. 9 within the community.
